Eldred’s orchard

The Orchard was purchased on behalf of the parish in 1987 at a cost of £5,000 and was named after the last owner. Residents from the parish may help themselves to the fruit in the orchard.

On acquiring the Orchard there was a tremendous response from Blagdon residents wishing to dedicate trees to the memory of loved ones. A further twelve trees were planted in 1996.  A wooden seat originally donated by the gun club and a plan of the orchard are sited near the road facing the view to the lake.
